Ndi Umunyarwanda Platform on Radio Rwanda/ May 16, 2021: Ndi Umunyarwanda in public service

On May 16, 2021, the monthly programme (Ndi Umunyarwanda Platform on Radio Rwanda) produced in partnership with Unity Club Intwararumuri, National Commission of Unity and Reconciliation as well as RBA, was produced and laid the emphasis on Ndi Umunyarwanda in public service and work.

Different guests were invited to the programme: Hon. Angelina MUGANZA, a member of Unity Club Intwararumuri and the Executive Secretary of the National Public Service Commission (NPSC), and Mr. Robert BAPFAKURERA, the Chairperson of the Private Sector Federation (PSF) in Rwanda, and Mr. Callixte MFITAMAHORO, Managing director of Collection Africa Limited.

Within the conversations, Mr. MFITAMAHORO said that his self-employing was not because of missing a job, but chose it in order to help the government. He insisted, “My self-employing was not linked to missing the job but I chose to create a job because we were taught that once you have created your own business you are no longer a burden to the government but you are supporting the government instead.”

When it came to Mr. Robert BAPFAKURERA, he said that Ndi Umunyarwanda has to remind all Rwandans of that they should join hands for developing their country.

He said “Ndi Umunyarwanda reminds us of that Rwandans should join hands in order to develop our country as well as self-dignifying and also reminds us of keeping up with the development struggle wherever they are.”

Hon. Angelina MUGANZA explained what Ndi Umunyarwanda means and asked every Rwandan to be aware of the history of the country and to be aware of whatever damaged unity of Rwandans.

Hon. Angelina MUGANZA, “Ndi Umunyarwanda is to feel the relationship that links Rwandans who are proud of sharing the qualities of loving Rwanda, protecting her as well as developing her." She continued, “Every Rwandan has to know the history of our country as well as being aware of whatever damaged unity of Rwandans and has to embrace the Ndi Umunyarwanda opportunities that are now put in place in this country.”
